wacker eins ! is a istanbul and berlin based illustration team. very often we are selling our work to advertising agencies and fashion- or trend-magazines. but we are as well illustrating websites, book- and cd-covers, postcards, flyers, t-shirts, shopping bags... you name it.

some of these are simply too crowded for my taste and the colouring leaves me cold, too. however, graphically (not sure if that's a proper expression?), i think the 'job sharing' one is very good, it has a bit of old-fashioned touch to it, too. thanks for sharing, chrissy, did you like everything?

i'm not a fan of all of it--the job sharing one is definitely my favorite of the bunch (i like the dragonfly drawing as well)

i don't really like the "fashion" pictures (the first ones posted) for many of the reason you posted--there's too much going on and not a whole lot of depth in terms of color..

and in general i would definitely agree that there is very little if any warmth in the colors used--which probably works for them commercially but not artistically

i like the hausfrau one with the wine glasses and the job sharing image. i don't like the marker coloured ones at all. and the stick figures have no charm, unlike carlotta's.

yes it's true while the carlotta drawings aren't exactly my kind of thing they are definitely very convincing and charming.

OOOH, i love Wacker..... I had a whole feature of them on my site. Love their back breaking figures.... thought everyone did....
