Okay,

Which wrist does the watch go on for a man and a woman?

Is this correct...

Man = Left wrist

Woman = Right wrist??

Thanks. :flower:

i thought the only thing that mattered is which hand you write with...as in: if you're left handed, you wear your watch on your right wrist...and if you're right handed, you wear your watch on your left.

i've always thought man-left woman-right...

some ppl find it weird if its the other way around, or if the guy wears his watch so that the face is on the underside of his wrist

See I thought that at one point until my hubby brought this up and then I started looking at ppl while i was out and found that most men wear it on the left wrist and women on their right...but then there were some who didn't. So that's why I asked.

I'd never heard of such a thing!

I'm a woman and wear my watch on my left hand, since I am right-handed. This makes it easier to put it on, keeps it from getting caught on things or bumped as much, and generally seems more convenient to look at.

I also wear it with the face on the top of my wrist, not on the bottom (like where you can see your blue veins). I hate when people wear their watch upside down, on the under side of their wrists, and then turn their arm outward like a chicken wing to check the time. Very awkward.

I'm a woman and I wear it in my left hand, because it is most comfortable that way. I have never ever heard that women-right, men-left. does it really matter, wear it where it feels good

I've never heard of the women right, men left either but I do wear my watch on my right hand although I'm right handed. I have no idea why ... I guess I find it easier to fasten it with left hand onto my right. Maybe I was born a lefty???

Everyone I know wears it according to what hand they write with like someone said above - it's generally more comfortable that way. I've never heard this men-left, women-right nonsense. It's about what is most comfortable for the wearer.

I've never heard men - left, women - right...I wear mine on the left, face up and not on the inside of my wrist. I love "larger, elegant" watches, so I couldn't wear it on my dominant side (right) or it'd affect my writing, everything. It'll get worse when I'm older, as I plan on getting a few men's Rolexes, Tag Heuers, Breguets, and Breitlings, and those are HUGE, so the left wrist would be essential for me.

Basically, I thought it just went by what people were more comfortable with!

I don't wear watches. Too cumbersome on either hand.

i learned that it's always left... gender is irrelevant..

but what brian says nmakes sense about left or right-handed...

i think that would be the exception to the left-handed rule...
whenever i style a job i always always put the watch on the left wrist...

never heard of the gender left-right thing..
if i wear a watch i always wear it on my left wrist.. (im right handed)
i guess a lot of ppl do the same.......

i wear mine on my right and i'm right handed. my grandma says you should all wear it on your right hand because energy moves counterclockwise and if you wear it on your left you're blocking incoming energy. she's a nut but i love her.

I know someone like that. :rofl:

I wear mine on the right...and I am right handed. but I never heard of the man-left/woman-right thing either...news to me.

I didn't know how you wear a watch depended on what sex you are. I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't read this but I'll keep an eye out to see if some people do follow this.

I'm a leftie when it comes to watches, although I'm right-handed.

This is quiet odd, never knew there was a right or wrong way to wear a watch. So much politcs in the world- However, I am a righty and I have my watch on my right hand.

the rule is you wear the watch on the oppiste side of the hand you write with.

so right handers wear it on the left. left handers wear it on the right
