Wow...I had no idea they were doing a menswear collection this season.

Looks okay so far but must see more.

I like it so far, i can't tell much from this. But I love W&J.

They have some on Catwalking....

will post some more tomorrow ;)

....not bad...some good pieces in it. Especially some of these jackets. I like the slight androgynous approach with the Chanel-style shapes. All in all, kind of reminds me a bit of Raf and Bernhard twisted into one.

Dear Scott, thanks so much. Haha, I can see what you are saying about the Raf meets Bernhard. Mostly the pants/shoes interaction is very Raf . The fourth picture reminds me of, like, Jill Stuart women. Some of the looks really bother me, to be honest, but I also immediately like almost any menswear that is pushing the limits/having fun.

Also like to mention that the collection doesn't seem to fit together as a whole, except for similar colors being shared throughout.

Yeah, actually I know what you're saying there. Was thinking that myself whilst going through the images. It doesn't really appear that perfect in that respect. At least not for what I'm used to seeing from them. What I'd like to know is,why they decided to show a seperate collection? I always enjoyed the mesh of the women's and men's together somehow. And the menswear was always quite strong too.

wow... i really like a lot of this...

i want some..

Probably they decided to do a separate collection for commercial reasons (ie menswear is really taking off). I like Wendy & Jim, but eh it's hard to explain, I've never LOVED it (them?) ... just my personal taste.

I really don't want to not like this, but some of this is really bad. Like the green sweater/red pants outfit, it looks awkward and the sweater over that shirt makes me feel itchy. Oh well oh well the jackets are in deed very nice and the light grey suit is too.

thanks scott for the pictures!

i have to agree with cerfas, that the collection doesn't fit together very well as a whole, and i'm really not feeling the white leggings. ha. but i do like some of it a lot. especially the outfit with the black leather pants, greenish sweater and the grey/silver jacket over it. Love the proportions.

I 2nd that. I LOVE it when designers show both mens and womens looks together. There is a sense of unity and androginy, which I find harmonious.

Have you noticed that when a designer decides to do a completely seperate collection for men,it's never as strong? Just look at Bernhard. I haven't liked a single collection of his menswear but when he was doing the men's stuff with the women's,it was brilliant to me. I loved it.

I'm just wondering though, now that you mention sales and stuff,if this isn't just a ironic pun from W&J. Because if you notice they did not show during P-A-P this season...hmmm
