First submission to the thread:
dscn20603fd.jpg

Banana Republic Jacket
Copper neck ring (permanently closed, look closely and you'll see the green neck stain. :innocent: :D )
2xist black shirt
Helmut Lang 90% cotton/10% silk jeans
Pure black converse shoes

Let me know what you think. I usually have the jacket zipped up further, I just wanted the copper to be more easily visible.

Hebden: very nice, esp. your Burberry cape!
Andrew: welcome to the thread...dare I ask what the permanently-closed copper ring is about?

It's something a friend made for me (he has one too, as do a few other people in the area); the idea of dealing with a permanent fixture (it's riveted shut, nothing short of a saw is getting it off me) without it actually modifying my body (ie, no piercings). I've had it for about 6 months now, I don't actively notice it, but I definitely feel it's presence on my skin.

It's just there. The reactions I receive are interesting, as I haven't poked a hole in myself, yet many people are just taken back by the idea of never being able to remove it, moreso than they would a piercing or even a tattoo. I share a strange relationship of compromise with a piece of metal.

kuran n gabriel - u look great

green sweater tank from blum
marc jacobs patchwork denim jacket (i think this is a mistake..but anyway./)
vintage red belt
my mom's hand-me-down white lace pleated skirt
vintage ferragamo perforated red peeptoes

Here we go. I'll attempt some comments!

andrew- I'm a fan of the brass ring. It's a great way to do something that's almost permanent. Tatoos and piercings are so cliche now a days too.

Hebden- I LOVE all of your capes!

catorpollux- Nice Pumas. Are they any special designer collaboration?

skinny boho- cute tee

gabrielle- The B/W is striking.

kuran- It's just a perfect look. Please try to continue sharing.

bohochick- nice bag + glasses

softgrey- sharp vest

larichg- Nice B/W. I appreciate how you share detail shots.

kisa- Nice work with the jeans

Midori- gorgeous skirt

tinetush- the ribbon is a great touch

voodoo_mary- the nautical look is one of the best you've posted yet

style_expert- I always wondered how someone could pull off those CdG Stones pieces. Leave it to an "expert" to show us how it's done.

emi25- Beautiful photos

faust- It sounds like another winning outfit. Thanks for sharing the boot shot.

urd- Your stuff is always great, but I'm especially fond of that white skirt.

susie_bubble-- beautiful work with the tea stained shirt.

kokopuff- Love the necklace

When I got dressed I planned to wear something that could ward off the sweat and smoke of 80s night. As it turned out, I ended up getting a new cat and staying in.

Kenneth Cole shirt
Jil Sander jeans. I don't know why they came out looking so mishshapen.
