What can I wear it with? (December 2003 - March 2010)

^Your legs are fine emi!
I think the boots do work with trousers...maybe different ones though...hate to be predictable but jeans might work better.

I like your idea about the skirt though. Maybe you could layer a skirt/dress over trousers. I'd wear them with an A line above the knee short-ish skirt and a tight polo neck. Or a looser skress and leggings.

I'm sticking to my own colour choices and going with the navy and purple combos.
When I said purple, I really meant like a deep browny purple. Burgandy!
I agree with Soft....with the purple top, you could wear a navy jacket or cardigan.
But the easiest way would be to wear the navy top and wear a grey cardigan with navy tights.

yep. agreed. waiting for Jcrew sale to stock up basics:innocent:

Out of the looks, I actually think the fourth is the strongest. It's quite muted but I like that. I mean I think in a way the skirt could be quite overpowering if you wear a lot of other 'strong' garments with it, it's like a competition. Simplicity for me!

Thanks Meg. #4 is indeed the most muted. I just need some "heavy" color somewhere to balance the look. I'm more on the simple side as well

emi, I think that your legs are very slim with just enough muscle definition (if you want more muscles, doing long jump for a month will help!)
I guess that the color/texture of the pants made the look a little...hmm...i will choose more rough material for pants such as jeans. short dress/skirts are fine, but I'm against very short skirts...never fond of them. just show 1" skin will help.
that cat picture is so funny:D

:rofl:I'll try long jump! hope the legs will get longer as well!

Thanks for the comments guys! I'll think about it!

out of curiosity, why do you lose store credits?

I was referring to another thread where GG mentioned the practice of selling store credits on eBay at a loss. I didn't know about this before ...

This is cracking me up...I think I've had too much coffee LOL. Too true Ta-ta...I'd also been thinking that if GG had all the money she'd spent on postage and the store credit, she'd be able to buy Hermes boots.Too cute.If I'd been wealthy as a teen I may have been the same LOL.

Thank you Yasmin and Quirky!
Yasmin, I think that the gray color looks great with the skirt, but I do need one more layer otherwise it's too grayish allover.
Quirky, I'm still thinking. Those shoes are too cute to pass, but at the same time they are not very practical as they are not everyday shoes. I will take my time to decide.

Do you have a little shrug or bolero? Like maybe navy? Something else you might try is a touch of red ... It might also be that a necklace would give the extra touch you're looking for ...

I'm not sure quite why, but I didn't care for the navy top, although in advance it seemed like it would work. Too conservative ... I guess I'm thinking to make this summery skirt work for now, you really need to go "out there" a la susie ;)

Baby, it's cold outside ... do what you have to do ;) I've seen this done all my life, and not once was anyone struck by lightning ^_^

is that about her versace boots? that's really unfortunate.
I rarely return anything if I pick something up physically...I hate using tailors to make clothes work...it's probably just me...

when is that?

December? they are smart this yr. they put things on sale style by style and color by color, in that way they will make the most profit before the actual sale starts. I'll let you know once it starts:)

I have tons of cardis but no shrug. I'm eyeing on a shrug by Marc...a navy one. it's still not on sale yet :(

remember the navy cashmere polo on the marc jacobs collection FW'04 runway? the one with the little bow...it's going to be so nice with a couple of my blue skirts (without the bow). Sadly that sweater was huge after hanging for months:doh:
I believe that susie's burgundy idea will work well...it just takes time to find the perfect one
