What city do you want to see featured in Resort/Pre-Fall/other Off-Season Shows?

What city would you like to see as the city for Chanel ' s pre fall and resort shows? Any city whose style you want translated into the chanel aesthetic?


I would love to see Kyoto or Tokyo. Also Rio, Bangkok, or rejkjavik
I wanted dubai and when I got it I was greatly disappointed, maybe some city in Morocco next time

Just for fun...Las Vegas or detroit (actually it was a really nice city before the sixties and considered "paris of the west", there are some pretty nice ruins left)
Also some random small bourgeois city


I would like to see a spin on Rome, as in ancient Roman styles, but I'm afraid and repulsed by any Italian themed collection, I'm sure you understand why..

i like it when they go some place hot..like the dubai show that was awesome. i'd say south of france but they already did st tropez and the other one (was it cap d'antibes??) in the last few years i guess

Well I'm obviously bias but Chicago! I'd love to see a roaring 20's, gun mull themed collection from him. But beyond that I'm betting he'll do a Rio themed collection soon considering how booming their economy is.

Well a photo shoot/campaign at Millennium park would be amazing, especially when juxtaposing 1920s looks with the modern design of the park

I wish they would come to Bangkok, obviously biased. But the city is so rich and full of life. So many angles they can play on. I’m especially curious on designers take on the Southeast Asian cultures as they are not wildly presented among westerners like Chinese or Japanese.

One of the funniest things was Martha Stuart and an interior designer friend came to Thailand for her magazine launch and they went to the market. They ended up bought a traditional printed fabric for women’s skirt (very homey, non-fancy) and they used it as table runner.

Warmer/fun/tropical climates are definitely preferred. I hope Karl takes advantage of South America or Australia (how great would it be to do a pre-fall collection during their summer?).

That being said, this also makes me wonder if they'll continue doing these international pre-season shows after Karl...you know...leaves.

Newt Chanel cruise collection will be shown at Seoul but Karl said that the collection isn't inspired by Seoul at all. They are just showing the collection there.

What i love about Chanel resort collections is that thay are inspired by the feeling of the streets but still very Chanel whereas with the Pre-fall, because of the "métiers d'arts", with the techniques and the almost couture aspect, it can be slightly costumey.

A Chanel Paris-Sao Paulo collection or Paris-Lagos can be good for resort and i would like a Paris-Geneva collection too. Chanel lived in Switzerland during the war and the company is swiss/american so why not?

Chanel Vegas would be so fun. Super glitz, tacky and over the top. I can imagine some of the accessories now.
