no, basket purses are ugly and old ladyish, IMO, sorry.
I personally also think Kate Spade has declined in her image/quality of handbags lately, which is why she has had to branch off and do other things like housewares and stationary, etc. No one seems to be buying Kate Spade anymore, not that this isn't a reason to get the bag, just an observation. There are better things out there...
