She and Bootsy dated when she was in college. She went to one of his concerts with some of her friends and they had backstage passes. One of her friends wanted a picture of Bootsy, and he was going to take it with the girl that was on his arm at the time, but my mom's friend asked if he would take the picture with my mom instead. He looked over and saw my mom, was silent for like five minuets, then said "I'd rather be with you." Then took her by the hand and took the picture, and asked her to go the the concert after party, where they hit it off even more. They dated for two years, but broke up because he was more into his career than a relationship. Now, my mom is just raising me and my sis, but she and Bootsy write each other once in a while!
