Hey everyone, what will be hot this winter? Hehe:smile:

I'm not sure if the jewel neck is only James Perse, but here's a link where you can see what it is along with the boat neck:

I don't really care what's "hot", but I do like what fits - usually boatneck looks good on me, so I'm going with that.

Usually I wear whatever I have pictured in my mind when I get up.

Shirty shirt shirts...y'know - one collar, two barrel-cuffs, one placket, six buttons.

I like V-neck shirts. They are the most flattering to my boobs.

that's too big a question to answer...every top is different...the cut ...the fabric...the quality..the style...and a huge variety of combinations of the above...

i do really like the split neck...tunic style...but more for summer...and nehru...and v nk and boat nk and deep plunging v nk and turtle nk and drawstring necklines...the list goes on and on and on... :P :flower:

plus i think what you wear really depends on your lifestyle...if you work in and office...you'll wear alot more blouses than if you're a mom or a student...etc...

everyone always looks best when they find something that suits them personally...

one thing i can say for sure...i will be wearing mucho cashmere when it gets chillier...

I am making a few mock-turtleneck slim-fit knit tops for myself for work, and a couple with a modest square neck. Wide, but not very deep, kind of like a boat neck with corners, if that makes any sense. I like square necklines on myself because I have wide shoulders and good collarbones, so it kind of emphasizes the lines already there.

I just made a cowl-necked sleeveless chenille top for fall, too, though most of the stuff on my to-do-list is either the abovementioned tops or just regular dart-fitted, button blouses in different colors and fabrics. Office clothes, dontchaknow.

i'm a victim i know, but last winter i fell into the trap of wearing hoodies with blazers over them...now i have so many iterations of that outfit i can't give it up...

I like cowboy style shirts, v-necks, turtlenecks, sweater vests and boatnecks. I hate mock turtlenecks-they don't look good on me at all.

    so will I. :grrr:

I will probably be wearing the same style tops as as always - the cuts that flatter me: v-necks, boatnecks, scoop-necks and deep square necks, and a few proper collared shirts because my uni is fairly dressy and there are times when it's appropriate. :smartass:

I must admit that boatneck looks best on me.

I always buy quite a few boatneck and a few cowl-necked shirts. I find that they can be dressed up for work or dressed down.

    They're very versitile.

Then again it always depends on the fabric.
