A thread we've been missing here in Personal Style ;)

Comfortable walking shoes are a must! I saw tons of Converse at the women's march last month, but I don't find them my most comfortable shoes, especially when walking long distances.

I find cold-weather dressing to be more challenging than warm. Will be back to post pix ...

Cool thread, ta-ta! Thanks for starting it!

Of course, there is always the slogan tShirt! Cannot protest without emblazoning your point of view, right on your chest.

If I have time, I'll give it some thought and see if I can find some more ideas.

^ LOL, I like that one! Here are the ones I wear ...

I had the grey one made in black all-cotton, and the blue one made in purple. Pamela Love designed the white one.

I also bought a cross-body bag specifically for this purpose (my other bags are not hands-free). For shoes, I wear either ballet flats or walking shoes.

to be honest, i've been wearing really sporty clothes this past year...
joggers with motorcycle boots and a bomber jkt...
mostly trying to blend in and be anonymous...

this year, i'm thinking of taking it up a notch and really dressing up...
like- very elegant and all black...

take off any dangly accessories which may get caught...
    ie- hoop earrings...

a whistle seems like a good thing to have...
to make noise when you're tired of shouting...

or a tambourine...but it's hard to carry a sign and bang a tambourine...

    ^_^

I have a noisemaker ... I suppose I should take a picture, but I'm tired. It was given to me at work, but perfect for this purpose. It's kind of like a plastic cowbell, and it hangs from a plastic chain, so it can be around my neck or over my shoulder when I'm not using it. Not musical like a tambourine, but makes a nice loud obnoxious sound  In fact, this little boy who came with his mom was glaring at me about the noise  Kids are so funny.

    noisemaker is fun!
    i also have a flag...
    :important

going to sing protest songs tomorrow...
the group logo is hot pink and black...
so i worked on creating something simple, striking and easy to wear for the group...

*we got some black knit caps and some fur and yarn pom poms in hot pink...various sizes...
everyone got to attach which ever pom poms they liked any way they liked and customize their own hat...
the logo has been printed on a 3 inch button pinned to the front of the hat...
we will wear all black and hot pink...
    the results are very satisfactory...

we are going to sing on Broadway outside of Hello, Dolly!
    our Playbill says: Goodbye, Donny!
    :stuart:

    DIY
    :p

we'll probably do t shirts once it warms up and we can shed our outerwear...

^ Those boots aren't made for walking ;) I'd rethink that part of the outfit. Perhaps some broken-in combat boots instead ...
