Safari? I think it is pretty much the other way round. Leave safari, take the military! The rest seems pretty ok. Even though I don't know what to do with that Superman hint

Couldn't have said it better...*

The best rule ever: never follow any fashion rule!

:P

Luxury neutrals!?!??!
Floaty silhouettes out!?
Beatnik stripes out!?
Superman!?
Vans!?
Golf shirts!?
China!?
Cowboys!?

Safari?!
Golf Shirts?!
High waists?!

luxury neutrals = you have to be dress elegant but not blingbling = "chic parisien"

floaty silhouette out or high waist = forget ex-MKolsen style and wear tight jeans and great volume check AlexMcQueen summer 05/06 w/ big belts on your waist & tight shirts and very well cut (almost "sur mesure") clothes!!

Vans = wear vans sneakers!...but don't know why as Vans are "in" for a very long time!!!! i don't really believe this trend!

golf shirts = wear golf shirts and forget bohemian look (always be very elegant, quoi!)

cowboys = are your next boots!!! (check out looks of male in new movie of gyllenhaal!!!)

safari = don't you remember YSL 70s (or 60s) safari look? safari jacket? wear YSL vintage you'll be really "looké"

but they are just ideas NOT A RULE!

here's this incredible 1969 pictures of YSL with two of his favorite models from the time wearing a safari jacket that I love, but I'd never wear that.

I don't know about it being a trend, but I  my Vans. The sneakers, not those slip ons; I hate those!
Other than that I doubt I follow any of that.

Certians parts of this lists that aren't good on my book

Luxury neutrals <> Clashing brights - so basically, everyone should look boring for spring? Spring is about rejuvenation.

Covering up <> Baring it all - baring was out since Tom Ford quit Gucci. the people who made this list up are bhind.

Vans <> Converse - both are horrible. I graduated high school hoping to never see any of these on anyone's feet.

quick question..wats the diff between golf shirt and polo shirts?

Thank you for the list! Even though I disagree with half of it and will just end up buying whatever looks better on me, it's still interesting.

.....but what is a golf shirt? How does it differ from a polo?

Also, I am never going to be caught dead in cowboy boots. I'm not a fan of that western look at all.

And the high-waist trend - does that refer to this year's trend of a wide braided belt over a long top around your hips? Now the belt gets moved up to our waists? Is this more flattering? (I hope:unsure: )

Looks like no one is agreeing with this list. Which is a good thing. :P

It's better to follow your own taste when buying clothes. Following trends only make it look like you're trying too hard.

How can you say a color is out? How can brown be out? This list is silly....but I kind of agree about peasant skirts (not that I ever liked them ).

dont throw stones on me for voicing my opinion... but this vogue list is 'commercially' sound and fine

(with the exception of vans & the cowboy thingy, but still Converse IS getting too tired)

 I thought a polo shirt WAS a golf shirt! What do I know!

i think pollo shirts are stripped and golf shirts are plain..
could this be the difference?

In that case I'm ahead of the trends. None of my polos are striped.
