The traffic of designers between houses gets me a bit confused...

So I thought we could have a thread where we can post the new transfers every time a new one happens...

For example:

Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci
Sophia Kokosalaki for Vionette
Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton (oldie but oh well)

Can't think of any more right now....

Please post away so that we can have an udpated list easy to be found whenever needed!

:flower:

(To moderators: if there is already a similar list, feel free to delete this.... my search did not come up with one...)

!!! You blaspheme! How could you not know the following ...

John Galliano for Christian Dior
Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel

Haha ok ok I'm not really angry. Just that I was a little surprised that they could actually be forgotten HAHAHA.

Ok ok - anyway, more (I'll repeat the above two in the list...);

Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga
Ivana (spelling...?) Omazic for Celine
Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel
John Galliano for Christian Dior
Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi
Riccardo Tisci
for Givenchy
Frida Giannini for Gucci
Jean-Paul Gaultier for Hermès
Alber Elbaz for Lanvin
Rick Owens for Revillon (couture) (does this count?)
Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent - Rive Gauche

Anymore ... ? That's what I can recall for now. Might add more when I can remember any.

More...some old news, some recent developments....

Raf Simons
for Jil Sander
Michael & Nicole Colovos (of Habitual) for Helmut Lang
Naoki Takizawa
for Issey Miyake
Issey Miyake
for A-POC
Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme (ignore those nasty rumours that he's headed back to YSL)
Ozwald Boateng for Givenchy menswear
Paulo Melim for Chloe
Matthew Williamson for Pucci

A lot of house, like Chloe (at least for the last two seasons) and Guy Laroche are designed by not one person, but a team (for the latter, a very marginal team) :innocent: ^_^

True, but in the case of Chloe it has only been a temporary coasting-along thing after the departure of the previous creative director Phoebe Philo. Paulo Melim Andersson (forgot the Andersson in my prior message) is assuming the creative director position, supposedly in time for next season.

Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni(I suppose that would be considered as a house, yes?)
Christopher Bailey at Burberry
Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler at Aquascutum
Clements Ribeiro at Cacharel

and speaking of CDG...since there are other's under the wing of Rei....

Tao Kurihara-who designs her namesake tao Comme des Garçons and she also designs tricot Comme des Garçons

&

Junya Watanabe

Btw, anyone knows who does Kenzo?

Well, since we're including houses that have never changed hands...

Jun Takahashi for Undercover
Takahiro Miyashita
for Number (N)ine
Alexander Plokhov for Cloak

And here are a couple more I thought of...

Tomas Maier for Bottega Veneta
Christopher Bailey
for Burberry Prorsum

I thought Marni was started by Consuelo Castiglioni herself

^she did. but I think it would fall under this heading since the label is quite established now.

Does Bernhard Willhelm still design for Capucci? I always liked his collections for that brand.

Does anyone handle the Dior house timeline?

like after CD, twas YSL? or Bohan? Then ... Ferre? and then Galliano?

SO confusing!!!!

Christian Dior > YSL > Gianfranco Ferre > Marc Bohan > John Galliano

What about the Givenchy timeline?

Hubert de Givenchy > John Galliano > Alexander McQueen > Julien MacDonald > Ricardo Tisci

A lot of the houses mentioned are that way, such as Rei at CDG and Alexandre at Cloak.
