If you could choose any living designer to work with or for, who would it be and why?

I'd like to work with McQueen, mainly because I could learn a lot from him but also because from what I've seen of his personality, I think that we would work well together. Also, he doesn't seem to worry about being as creative as he wants, he can take an idea and, no matter how serious or deep it may be, project it through beautiful and wearable designs.

I would like to work with Phoebe Philo. I love her style and I can imagine the atmosphere at Chloe being very laid-back and fun, considering her youth and the type of clothes she designs.

Fatima Lopes. From what I've seen, I love her attitude and work ethic. Not to mention she's H-O-T.

Hmmm. Pretending that all designers are nice people:

    Definitely Husseyn Chalayan
    McQueen
    Demeulemeester
Yohji Yamamoto (ok, I think he needs a new direction in menswear)
Definitely Issey Myake (who else researches fabrics like he does?)

    Can't think of anyone else.

Maybe Raf Simons, I don't know. He's such a mystery as a person, I can't really figure him out. Come to think of it I don't recall reading a single interview with him, strange...

    ^^consuelo castiglioni

So many, but I really think Miucca Prada would be an interesting person to work for (on the Miu Miu collection only). I appreciate the quirkiness of her collections, especially in her menswear. (OT but I have to have those retro wall paper looking shorts come Spring)
McQueen as well, because of his outstanding tailoring techniques. I could learn SO much from him.
Not a major label, but I sell a brand called Poleci that I would love to collaborate with to create a mens collection. I've actually translated some of their womens looks into clothing for myself. They know this too.
YSL-the man himself. No explanation needed.

  I don't think there is any designer that would be easy to work for. This industry is full of people who think the world revolves around them.

it's so cool so many would like to work for McQueen. I would too. I would also like to work for Miuccia and Karl Lagerfeld. They all seems to have tons of creativity, work with materials I absolutely love and seem to have perfectionistic attitudes toward thier products. i can respect that. plus I would do just about anything to acquire McQueen's tailoring and cutting skills.

I would love to work with McQueen because he cuts clothes so beautiful and makes them move like magic. I'm in awe of him! If Gianni were still alive, I wouldn't mind working with him because I thought he was great!

Issey Miyake, he actyally looks for fresh young designers to work with. When I met him he seemd like a very agreeable person. You just have to make sure you have your sh*t together and never mess up. But the man to me is a modern master.

I would also like to work for Vivienne Westwood or Hedi Slimane. Both of them seem like they would be very harsh and demanding but there would be lots to learn.
