ANNOUNCEMENT

As of June 2006 CAMILLA STÆRK has decided to leave the brand. She has taken the decision to move on to pastures new and design a label from her own home in NEW YORK.

This brand however will continue as CAMILLA STÆRK CS.DK.LTD. We will be carrying on with Camilla's unique styling and innovative design but with a different angle from a new designer.

ROGER SEARLE has worked closely with Camilla since the company restarted in 2004 and has been appointed as designer for the spring/summer 2007 collection and for the forseeable future.

Roger studied at Epsom School of Art and Design and has worked with many young London designers. Having specialised as a pattern cutter for both menswear and womenswear he has been responsible for the cut at CAMILLA STÆRK since 2004 as well as swimwear, bags and accessories.

well, did a little research, it seems she left the company and started a line called "staerk" that is based in New york. word has it that she also now Lives in New York, I am not 100% certain of this though.

this has nothing to do with her business but,........ I saw a picture of her and Damn!!!!!!! she is hot!!!!

I will try to post the pic

that's really strange! i knew nothing about any of this. i didn't even realise she restarted in 04....but maybe it probably explains why her work changed in a more commercial direction.

but i always knew she presented in NY but didn't know she had the other label. so who actually owns her line?

it's funny this all came up as i found a nice pictorial of her collection from a spring 2002 issue of Shiseido's Hanatsubaki i got from Walter store in Antwerp--which was during the time when her work had an incredible sense of texture and volume about it...and her colour scheme was quite rustic.

Here is a picture of her.... very lovely lady........

^she is beautiful, indeed. you should see her looking almost like a wood nymph in some of her earlier work....incredible.

but let's get back to the topic at hand

Hmmm....surprising....but I don't see a problem with it as long as Roger carries on producing Camilla's aesthetic and seeing as they have worked closely together that shouldn't be a problem.

Like Scott, I'm curious about Camilla's 'other label' as I've never heard of it either.... does anyone have any other info?

well, it seems the label being presented in NYC is the "other Label". the collection presented during fashion week in september (for SS 2007) is the new collection.
also, looking at the fashion calender for FW 2007 it says "staerk" instead of camilla staerk, so i hope that helps........

also, here is a link to the US site for the New Label:

There were some blue mens shoes from the new Stærk label featured in the latest Euroman. (With Ronaldinho on the cover)
