it WAS alexander mcqueen
but now its prob zac posen
haha I was waiting for that one, sean!
Zac posen is by far the best young designer around
i was thinking posen but what about esteban cortezar? is that his last name?
yeah, I believe he is just graduating from high school...except I heard a rumor that he was so busy with shows and parties that he didn't actually attend enough school to get his diploma
is this thread about 'young' as regarding age or young as regarding 'years in business' ?
I think Olivier Theyskens fits the age part , he's amazingly famous and well respected by most.
btw Zac PoSes is not selling at all in Europe and I find his work pretty useless (jmho)
zac is a brianchild.
he will take the throne..
and time will tell..
great designer, and I am glad he offered the design world his visions.
I think it's Stella Mcartney. Even before she graduated she was working in top houses and on her graduation models like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell modeled her final collection. Then a few months then she worked for Chloe. Other than that Juien Macdonald who after graduation was offered a chance to design a knitwear line for Chanel by Karl Largerfeld. Sources Guiness World Book of Records
forgot to mention Sophia Kokosalaki, she's a true rising star
I think...Proenza S...
If you say posen I'll say Arkadius
btw, Arcadius new Anarchy Jeans line gets very good PR by the Totem office in Paris.
lena- sophia & olivier - young TALENTS indeed
the others such as posen and proenza-schuler [grad cheaters] are pr infused hype machines selling average clothes to people who will love them if you tell them too.
Theyskens is great
good point on the Stella thing, forgot about her.
P.S I love Olivier Theyskens even if he isn't the youngest designer to be famous!
Theyskens must be around 26 max, he's not that old right remember when he started out (1997) he was only 19
