I think it was a commentary of how immigrants are being treated at the deporting facilities in the US… nothing to do with what you mention.

The positioning, the shaved heads, the hands behind the back…

as a latino his """discussions"" about latinidad and social commentary offend me on a personal level, using sociocultural aspects of a whole region just to sell poorly made suits and overpriced adidas merch is vile af lmfao

omahyra looks great tho always nice seeing her on the runway

Not even hot models. Like at least have the best male models …

I was expecting worse when I read the comments before seeing the collection. It’s not terrible, but it is super messy? Not that there must be a cohesive theme for a collection but there needs to be more focus than this. It just feels like random looks Willyfied.

Which I guess is my main issue with him. I really like the idea of him as a designer and want to like him, but it just feels like he uses his heritage as a design crutch and it almost feels performative. I’m sure it’s not but it just feels like when Virgil would just slap “OFF-WHITE” on an existing design and call it a day.

I did like the opening sequence and admire him for using his platform to speak on the current “immigrant” issues and the detainment centers.

^ Kerby's Pyer Moss was a whole other sh*t-show of mass proportions when it comes to internal management (also thanks for the reminder, forgot this kind of happened and was nice to brush up on it again). Barely anything went into production, advertising was misleading and money coming in was being spent almost immediately.

Willy seems to have a bit more common sense. I think. May be wrong for me to assume but he seems to have a little more tact.

This is so bad at so many levels, I can't believe that this guy was senior vice president of design at Calvin Klein....Were they unable to hunt any deisgner?
