Yeohlee Teng

Silk Cape, fall/winter 1993–1994. Yeohlee, one of the most intellectual designers of the 1990s, often plays on pairings of opposites, even as simple as black and white but inevitably complicated by internal/external, exposed/hidden elements. She refers to clothing as shelter and has been associated with sculptural design, but her paramount interest is always in the ethic and the intellect of the garment.
