yes, those kind of elastic finishing on trousers and the socks over trousers ... its been a look over done from 'boys of the suburbs' in Paris since like two years now, it's actually very very kitch..
ngth i also *hate* those bold 'armani' stripes (and the dots)
i love yohji's stuff as always. i'm such a fan of his proportions. if he can cut shortened wide leg trousers and boxy black suits and result in cool elegance for little asian chicks ( like me ) he's good in my book.
also, it's kinda refreshing to see such a GRAPHIC collection. the polka dots are cool, as are the stripes.
francesca, i think he's totally inspired by chaplin's clothing -- maybe him not specifically, but that era. you should watch 'notebook on cities and clothes,' it elaborates on that...
It doesn't appeal to me either, although the oversized jackets with oversized polka dots are interesting, just like some other items, but as a collection it doesn't stun me at all.
And here's Yohji right after the last kids, I love the look on his face, and I love this collection and show, baseball is the perfect mix of my two favorite things, youth and intelligence, and he does a pretty good take on it. Feeling very endeared to Yohji right now
