She's just graduated in Santa Marcelina (the same program than I just started this year) and presented her collection yesterday at Casa de Criadores. I watched the show and it was REALLY REALLY amazing!

...Nicolas make this collection for Balenciaga, the whole world would love.:lol:

I can see how this is appealing to everyone from an artistic perspective, but everything I see here is just so vulgar and repulsive to look at, How can the models stand to wear any of that?

wow.... hahahahah I really like the idea of enlarging the original size... The effect is really balenciaga... but i think if it switch to neoprene or some solid color, it would be amazing! anyway, I love love love love it!

Not sure.
I think the idea here is not bad, it's the result what's not quite convincing.. it's too attached to the inspiration, it really looks like it's momentarily pinned, it's missing some solidness and basically the strict precision and craftsmanship that would characterize a collection from, yeah, Nicolas.. it's way unfair to compare, considering this girl's just starting and doesn't have the team of experts Nicolas does.. but since you started it :innocent:..

isn't that an overstatement? I mean, it might be foolish and even amateur looking but vulgar and repulsive?, when you have Dsquared in the world, somehow these adjectives seem more suitable for that kind of presentations.

and models that are not Carmen Kass usually do whatever as long as they're getting paid.. it's not like they call the shots, you know.

the theme of the collection is "transcendental journey". and i don't think it's fair to call anyone's creative work "vulgar" or "repulsive". perhaps this isn't a purely commercial show meant to make women look good when they're going out to a club, but that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful from a creative perspective. it's something that provokes more thought than just, "cute, okay, next!"

anyway, she came up with a totally new idea that hasn't been over-done before. i think that's more interesting than, like, another balmain crotch-skimming knock-off dress...i think we just have to compare it more to sculpture or something than typical fashion design.

Ok, well sure the idea is new, but I still seriously find this all too hideous.

I understand if my criticism to this collection is nothing respectful, but It feels like all this woman did was glue random materials on some shear-like garment and thought it would be cool, she's no Rodarte, that's for sure.

On the other hand though, I will say the bottom half of all those outfits are nice, the leggings are unique.
