Your Best & Worst Collections of Haute Couture S/S 2024

SOOOO many highlights for me this season! Schiaparelli, Chanel, Alexis Mabille, Rami Al Ali, Giorgio Armani Privé, Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier, Viktor & Rolf, Zuhair Murad, Valentino, Fendi and Maison Margiela- the entire calendar. I just felt like I was sat in absolute awe of just about every show this season.

What's been some of your best and worst collections?

Schiaparelli, Alaïa, Armani Privé, Viktor & Rolf and Maison Margiela

Worst:
Dior, Chanel and Fendi

I didn't really like anything this season, sure some collections were less bad than the others, but it was rough.

I liked V&R the best. I wonder, both V&R's and Margiela's shoes had red bottoms. Did Louboutin do all their shoes?? I kinda like that. Reminds me when Manolo would do everyone's shoes for couture

only margiela.... v&r which was on top for me before just vanished after margiela.

Galliano Margiela obliterated everyone. Gives me hope that fashion can still lift one’s spirits.

After that V&R, and Armani Privé were standouts.

I have viewed only a few of the Haute Couture S/S24 collections, but of the ones I have viewed, I do not think that I can necessarily determine a best or worst collection because all of the designs I viewed were genius, however, this is what I think of the collections I viewed in terms of rank, starting with the collection that stood out least to me and ending with the one that stood out most:
-Fendi
-Valentino
-Chanel
-Schiaparelli
-Maison Margiela

Galliano came, eat and left not crumbs.

V&R and Armani did great job but no comparison to Margiela.

I agree! Galliano's collection was brilliant!
There was something about the designs that sort of made for a rebirth of colonial American style.

Oh Godlliano was just in another league and deserved to be the last show for this couture week

Margiela and Armani. JPG was okay, some great techniques but wasn't pushed outside of the box enough and seemed a little too safe for Simone. Felt the same about V&R.

My main issue with this season - and same can be felt for the recent men's and last RTW - is that it was a struggle to find a collection that at large in its entirety was amazing. There's been something a little off with everyone's collections as of late so for an absolute best is hard, just a matter of finding the better among weaklings.

Yes both. The Margiela shoes were a collab, V&R was made to order.
