I'd love anything by JAR. Apparently he picks and chooses who is allowed to even view his work - you can't just walk in off the street, or even peek in the window. (I read that he refused Gwyneth Paltrow, so it's not just about whether you can afford it.) But I don't care if he's elitist, he's amazing.

I've just learned (from someone who knows him) that the "elitist" rumour about Joel Rosenthal is simply not true. Like any high-end jeweler, security at JAR is extremely high - but there's no capricious ego shutting people out. Just wanted to set the record straight.
