Your Favorite Movie Ending

You've gotta mail
I'm not really a romantic person but I love that movie and how it ends!!

I loved the ending in "The Remains of the Day"..very sad but really well done.

Casablanca, Lost in Translation, Vertigo (because going batshit insane =) and I'm embarassed to admit it, but LOVE ACTUALLY makes me sob every time.

Portrait of A Lady w/ Nicole Kidman.....

So beautiful....before she goes into the house, she turns around and looks at the camera with this wistful look on her face...so gorgeous...

Usual Suspects with Kevin Spacey !!!!

THAT was an awesome ending!! :woot:

Fight Club, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, American Beauty, Donnie Darko, Amelie, A Clockwork Orange, Se7en!

blingbling, you're right... Shawshank had such a beautiful, yet still heartbreaking, ending... no movie has moved me as much as that one, I would have to say.

Dirty Dancing still have a great ending. I watched that dance sequence at the end over and over and over again when I was younger.

13 going on 30 has a sweet ending.

Some Like It Hot- "No one's perfect"

that's a great ending. ^_^

some of my favourites..

city lights & manhatten. - a whole monologue told by a face.
queen christina. - that close-up of greta garbo's enigmatic face is iconic.
reflecting skin. - that picture of the little boy crying in desperate anger in the fields is similarly impressive and very memorable.
the lady from shanghai. - who could forget that ending.
greed. - it still gives me shivers when i think about it
[spoiler: macteague killed his wife trina and ran off with the money, he flees into the desert where his former friend marcus follows him, they fight and macteague kills marcus only to realize marcus had handcuffed them together, then the camera zooms away and you see him standing there in the middle of the desert, between his dead friend and the money of his dead wife, his horse dead, his waterbottle empty, and his beloved pet bird fell down into the sand dead after he let it free.]
the third man & la strada. - just.. so.. sad.
