I actually remember starting one myself, but then couldn't find it...

Almost anything by Miles Aldridge or Paolo Roversi.
Here are one of my favourites.

For ads, I'm a big fan of the current "Helmut Lang as seen by Bruce Weber" ads....I like how they play with proportions.

I don't remember many covers, but one that stood out was Jude Law in Arena sometime in Fall 2004 (don't remember which month). He was wearing a simple slim black suit, white shirt and skinny black tie...I think the image was paying homage to a Michael Caine cover done in the 80s. It was done in simple black and white, that's why I liked it.

Yeah, that editorial rocked... What I liked was the tacit complicity of all involved. You can see they are old friends with each other, and you can see their love to rock music. I mean, Kate wearing a Keith Richards pyjama 2 sizes larger her size but still stylish...

Great thread! It's surprisingly easy for me to choose one editorial. It's this beautiful ed with Gia and Kim Alexis by Francesco Scavullo from American Vogue May 1980 - it's called "Summer - Go with the feeling". The colors, the angles and those faces (yes, Kim Alexis has a fan in me ). It just knocks me right out whenever I go back to it

Just one? that's a bit harsh... I fall in love with fashion editorials every minute!
However, one that i really like is from a russian publication, photos by Ben Hasset (Blunt London), model Michael Thyrring (Beatrice, milano). The contrast of the photos are perfect, as is the lighting. It's the first time I noticed Hasset's work, before realising, he's a genius at skin closeups.
