Here are some pictures of me with my besace.
I'm 1.65m and this bag is a really good size for me when I want to travel "light" as compared to my bigger bags like the Bal work.

P.S. I realised I need to clean the mirror after looking at the pictures, excuse the dust!

ooo this is my first post here. PrincessImp, where you able to get your besace on sale? I have been contemplating buying the grey one but the only place I could locate that colour was in the YSL boutiques, NOT on sale!
How is the nubuck holding up? Do you find that it scratches easily etc?
REALLY REALLY contemplating if I want to shell out $1995 on a past season's handbag.... especially since it went on sale in Neiman's and Nordies.. TIA

I paid retail for my besace as I am so obsessed by it. The nubuck is hardier than it looks and really softens with use. It scratches but they can be easily rubbed out with your fingers.
I think it really boils down to cost per wear.. will you wear it enough to justify paying full price for it? Though I feel during these uncertain times, there's every chance that it could go on sale, but just be prepared that it also might not or get sold out, etc.

hey kissenkatja,
i've only seen the bubble leather version and this other "crinkled" leather version on tPF. Not sure if the crinkled leather one is suede or leather.
probably best to call the boutiques and ask!

In the dusty nubuck it's gorgeous - I'm not fussed on it at all otherwise.

I just bought the Besace in turquoise since YSL is having such a good sale.

Katsu, i LOVE this bag and I just finally found this one on sale too! my friend is picking it up for me in the states! yay

now i need to find either a navy pebbled leather, or the grey embossed croc ... anybody seen either of these on sale for a good price? thanks

does anybody know what colour this besace is? it looks like the grey croc embossed. however it has colour variation - goes from light to dark - and is a lot bluer than the "sky anthracite". thanks

Has anyone seen the besace on sale anyhere currently? I am on a mad hunt for a medium or large in metallic...gold, bronze or even pewter.The only one I found is at bluefly for 1363. After seeing that they went for 800 or less at neiman's last call that is the price range I am looking at. Please let me know if anyone has seen anyting!!! Thanks in advance!!
