YSL Dada Pumps

I'm all for the pumps, i think the raffia on the heel of the slingbacks detracts from the look ~
So what colours did dada come in? I have seen bronze and gold definately, but did i also see a pewter colour too?

Thanks for the info luckyme and Guessgirl :flower: .

Uniq the slingbacks don't involve any raffia at all...here's a pic of what I mean, from the YSL brochure:D .

Also, the colours in the brochure are gold, bronze,a silver pewter-ish colour,a "dark brown lame" (which is a very dark metallic brown...there is no pic of the bronze in the brochure)...and the raffia, which is all raffia.

There may be other colours too...the brochure doesn't have all the colours of the Muse, for example.

Sigh...I'm still deciding...I have another 2 weeks

Yeah, the slingbacks are OK but pump style and those unique heels are what make DADA well...DADA ;)

mmmm... I would adore the pewter, would it be worth calling the YSL boutique in New York to see if they have any? I'm LOVING that the sizes run large, i always have issues squishing my ginormous feet into size 41s.

I should have said in the previous post that i was referring to the Sino when i was talking about the raffia heel. I saw these on saks.com

I like the Dada- but all the variations of it-

the lower heel
the separate (non wedge) heel
The sandal

all loose the WOW factor

just my opinion

I actually agree with all of you. I was just thinking that i should be senisible for once and wear shoes that do not risk my neck when I wander around cobbled European street at night. But practicality has never been my strong point when it comes to shoes.:p

(Thank goodness for the demise of kitten heels. Once,on a first date,my kitten heel got stuck between the slats of a quaint old wooden bridge. We were able to rescue me and my shoe, but I was mortified. Still,we're getting married this summer so it's not too bad:lol: ).

Those Dada's will be mine next month:D .

haha maybe the kitten heel sealed the deal?! but seriously, cobbled streets + heels = disaster. for me anyway  I really need to get to my local YSL boutique and check these out in person because they are so sweet

I got these today. Infante python sandals. I ove the dada heels:)

Here's how the style can go awfully wrong, for some reason i didn't see it in Quirky's post, but my eyes are damaged for life after seeing this Miami Retirement Village special...

iluvfashion - you are so lucky to get a hold of those! python is not allowed in CA. :( ;)

ooo, don't tell me that guccigal. :p ^_^ i was at SF YSL today and didnt' see them there, but that doesn't mean they never received it.

Thank you all!. They are really really pretty. I mean I have purchased other shoes in the past month but this pair truly tops them all. The pradas or my Lanvins. They come in gold and dark grey. My SA sent me a pic of both together. Here it is. The other pic is from elle.com and another version of them in metallic green (NO US YSL stores purchased it I was told) and more pics of mine:blush: I plan to wear them tomorrow or next week with either a red flowy dress or a below the knee black dress.

GUCCIGAL is right. I ordered mine from YSL Beverly Hills. (i have been trying to locate these sandasl ever since I saw them on elle.com and YSL Chicago's book) UNIQUECHIC-SHOPPING You can call and ask for Geoffrey at 310-271-4110. He is really nice and helpful. He told me these are snake skin and shipped the shoes to me in 3 days for only $10.00. I ordered them the frst day they got them in but he may be able locate a pair for you if they are sold out.

GGirl-The shoes are $990. I also paid a whopping IL tax of 9% of course:shock: because we have a YSL boutique here in Chicago.

Shopping. My SA told me that they are snake but come to think of it..They do not feel like my other snakeskin shoes. Maybe Guccigal is right. These pair have the look of some sort of skin:blush: but feel smooth overall. Hmm, maybe I should call and ask YSL again. If they are lizard the high price may explain it. What do you all think?
