Found on Instagram very recently by Donna Models, Yuka Mannami, from Mie, Japan, has an almost kawaii cuteness that still manages to be cutting edge. Not yet two months into the business, Yuka’s first ever booking was for a Uniqlo campaign, and her first ever catwalk appearance was at the Fendi Haute Couture show in Tokyo. An illustrious start for this talented girl, who lists her skills as ballet, vintage shopping, and playing the piano, traditional Japanese drum, and transverse bamboo flute (all these musical models should start a band!). Having only worked in her homeland so far, and busily improving her English language skills, Yuka is self assured and an instant hit with clients – all fabulous attributes for her inevitable overseas placement. That’s right, Yuka isn’t destined to only be big in Japan.
