It does appear slightly dug-from-the-archives... but I think our Mr. Pilati was trying for a classic YSL look in order to set the path for what's to come. In the future, I can see him developing the label in interesting ways.

Could anyone please tell me who this model is? She somehow reminds me of Caroline W., but she looks kind of different. Thanks for helping me :flower:

after seeing what he was doing for resort, i had a feeling he would dip into the archives heavily for his debut collection, and that's fine. i really like what he did.

 the trench and the tan dress on hana.

although...i wish there wasn't so much tom-ford hatin' going on. i liked some of the collections he did for YSL. (i did say *some*)

FABULOUS! I love the cut of the ruffle detail... so much fullness with so little fabric. Awesome!

I feel like I'm wathcing what Julia R. in Pretty Woman would wear today. So chic and classic with a major hit of sex appeal.

So many people are hating the ladylike thing going on, but I love how a woman can be made to look sexy, elegant and cutting edge all at once, without going into the lots of jewelry, lots of embellishments, lots of pattern, no fabric... Just sparkle and no substance. I think this collection is the anti-thesis of that route of thinking (like Galliano and Versace). Understated sex appeal is so difficult to acheive. He did it.

Its my favorite so far. most definetly.
