Zandra Rhodes' new collection uses a combination of silk chiffon, satin and delicate netting. Fabrics and prints mix colour, sheen, movement and transparency creating a sensuous, uniquely feminine style.

Grape, Scarlet, Jade, Turquoise and of course Cerise are mixed to give you a perfect example of the ingenius Rhodes palette. Navy and Black offer a subtle and classic alternative.

tnx brian for posting this. she is a big section in our shop and im a big fan. the winter collection emerged with lots of relaunches. of course the kaftan is a big part but as the red dress there are a few more and shorter versions of it which are very sweet !!

Her husband designs a lot of the pieces in the collections - they seem to have a very good partnership.

I don't like the stronger colours in these styles; reds and purples - I think her clothes work a lot better in the lighter shades.

She deserves some more success! I don't think she has many stockists in the UK, but it's more readily available in the US?

no not really available in the US...
and i am rather grateful...

i know she is a legend and all...
but frankly...i find most of this quite dreadful...
almost painful to look at...

i am very glad i don't have to actually see people walking down the street dressed like this...:ninja:...

Really? Her husband told me it was available mainly in the US. Perhaps in Miami or LA? I know they did a range of fur things for Neiman Marcus.

I'd never wear it myself, but can imagine some rather zany, eccentric person looking rather good in it! I've used it in shoots, but the model has never really done it justice...

Well, it's awfully *printy,* isn't it :ninja:

I'm not too fond of the tunic effect, reminds me of old lady dressing ... which I suppose it might actually be

But I do like nos. 103, 108, and 152.

that sounds likely...
you would find more of a customer for this sort of thing in those areas...
neiman's could have it in some of their stores...
there is no neiman marcus in nyc...
as far as i know it isn't available here at all...

I agree with softgrey, I find Zandra rhodes clothes really hideous.....sorry but thanks Brian. she designed a capsule collection for topshop a couple of yrs agoand it was hideous too. I see Mr williamson being influenced by her a lot,

this just looks like typical zandra rhodes to me . . . nothing I haven't seen before. It doesn't look any different from what she has on display at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.

^^ I don't think much changes from season to season - in fact, when I went along to their house/showroom/museum to borrow clothes her husband wheeled out a rail with stuff on it from just about every season! They didn't care what was used or when it was from, so I guess they know it doesn't change much!

I have to say that's kinda cool ...

There are acouple of things i like alot. But I think all the fluttery ruffles make it look cheap, they would be nicer is simpler shapes and more focus just on the prints.
