Overrated:
Pete Doherty (love him, but the NME mention him too much), The Others,Elbow, Jamie Cullum,Katie Mellua,Norah Jones,Joss Stone,Maroon 5



Underrated:

Jeff Buckley, The Pixies, Morrissey (until recently), Nick Drake, The New York Dolls

i think they are more crazy over kaiser chiefs than they ever where over bloc party although i do love their album sometimes the hype is right in my opinion but i hate it when its over done you go and buy the album and its abit disapointing

although i must admit kaiser chiefs are good to dance to when out

i agree with that i_<3_chanel

im gona have to do something about my list because i believe the is hype and then there is the hype that is annoying and turns out to be negative and some bands i believe really dont get the reviews they deserve!

i agree all the "neo-new wave" is overrated...franz fedinand, the killers, bloc party, etc...they all have catchy songs but no staying power.

i think she is, not particularly in her genre (where she's treated like a goddess) but most people, especially people like you and me think she's just another pop star or whatever and i really think she's very talented and has a beautiful voice and her songs are great.

I agree with most that has been said. Add The Bravery to the overrated list and Stereophonics to the underrated artists. Although I think the chances on a breakthrough are getting bigger now with their latest album.

I'd have to say that Lee Hazlewood is underrated.
