Pointy Toe Pumps Vs Round Toe Pumps

When stores sold nothing but pointy toes, I just refused to buy shoes until the trend passed. Now I'm in heaven and stocking up on round-toe shoes so I can survive the next pointed-toe wave. :innocent:

i do actually like certain kinds of almond toes, thou

Pointy-toes are just hard to get used to for me. I always think they make my feet look huge...

Looking down, they can. But from the side a well-proportioned high-heeled pointy toed pump looks fine.

Case in point:smile:p), Paris Hilton. She has huge feet, but they look okay in pointies.

I don't think the basic high-heeled pointy pump goes out of fashion, personally. Thats why Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo always have "house" designs of these.

Here's Jimmy Choo's:

Those are a no-no no matter what kind of legs you have.

I hate pointy toes, they look so witch like and unnatural to me. There are so many otherwise nice shoes that I had to give up because I cant stand pointy toes.

I'm a rarefied fan of both. I like round toes, but have no problem with pointy...

I've always been partial to round-toe pumps. I mean, I did like pointy ones but when I actually tried one on, didnt look good on me at all. @_@

I am more of a rounded toe girl myself. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that my foot is already size 11 or 42 and the extra length on pointy toe shoes just does not look flattering to me on larger sized feet. I'm selling some Manolo Campari's now because I just am not feeling the look on me.

As long as the pointed toe is short (stops a little further from the ends of your toes) and not extremely long I think it looks all right. Completely rounded toes don't look particularly attractive to me, but I love almond-toed shoes. I wear them all the time and they look great on me even though self-proclaimed fashion gurus say almond-toed shoes make petite women look fat.

I also think thinner heels (i.e. stilettos) as opposed to a chunky heel. Chunky/platform like heels add "volume" in my opinion!

I find McQueen's slightly more pointed "almond" toe the most attractive of all shoes. I am still a fan of the round toe though!

See. And sometimes I feel witchy when I wear pointy toes too. I am glad I am not the only one.

I like both - only the pointy toes shouldn't be too long. Louboutin Pigalle pumps are imo a wonderful pointy toe style, which isn't too long.

^ I agree, I generally like pointy toe shoes/pumps but not too pointy and yes, the Pigalle has the perfect point!!!
