As usual at Raf Simons the show was quite different  .For as far as I saw from it I like the presentation ,the models were standing on recycled cans of soda ,pressed together.
His clothing always has a message,it's the same with this collection, again with kinda of war-terroristic inspirations

I like the collection (especially the t-shirts) altough his last two collection were much better.

I like that collection too. Yep, they were crushed aluminum cans... must've sounded pretty cool when the models came out. 8)

 I'm completely stunned by this collection, especially with all of the current war debate abounding. Raf Simons chose a particularly interesting time to be calm or stay "quiet", although perhaps that's saying much more. This collection is highly and somewhat uncharacteristically commercial.

On that note, the tailoring is superb. The suitcoats look like they were cut with lasers... very beautiful. There were also several wild trademark graphic prints on shirts in this collection, but they were completely upstaged.

I'm really eager to read more about this collection. I see a possible theme perhaps (with this designer there has to be some message), but I dare not venture my guess yet since it seems too cliché.

 a brilliant and oh-so-unusually-straight-and-commercial collection from clever cat Raf
He's suits, honestly they could not get any more stylish and the white coat -next winter must have Homme item- its there again

here, some more Raf photos, my  favourites from the show

Rafs shows are really not a good indicator of how amazing his clothes fit. As a man its next to impossible to find a designer whose styling & cut compares with the styling designers do for women. He takes his design very seriously which is very evident in his innovative tailoring. He is in my opinion one of if not the only current designer that remembers the reason we buy designer clothes,Because they are special.I mean I love Margiela but his men's line is not exactly comparable to his women's collection That doesn't mean I wont stop buying Margiela's men's pieces.
Raf gives elegance without sacrificing masculinity. He is way underestimated. The tee shirts are cute and made Im sure for a bridge market.I have more of his jackets than I should admit.Yet I have no shirts by him. That is a little odd because I just realized it.Anywho.
This is going to sound a bit off topic but I think he would have been the ideal choice for YSL men's line.
    He makes a man beautiful.

Those shearlings were so expensive that nobody bought them. I would've loved to try them on though :woot: . Once again, those laser presision cut coats are perfection. I need one.

Haha, oh no--how much were they?
The one with the British-flag-like pattern on the back was really stunning, I had never seen anything like it.

Probably $3000-4000. The shearlings from fall 2005 are so expensive that they won't even be produced for the market.

If you like the British flag pattern, check out a brand Fake London for more affordable (but still expensive) stuff.

Faust--thanks for the recommendation, very sweet of you. It wasn't the pattern itself that drew me to the coat though--more like the fact that some element of construction went into making a pattern, which I found interesting.
