Must be fun to be a young girl in Paris — freely mixing Bowie, disco and Sixties references with playful denim. That was Sonia by Sonia Rykiel’s retro-loving muse for spring and she went all out, pairing rainbow-themed knits with high-waisted denim shorts and punk-style grommeted belts, also used to cinch bohemian poppy floral maxi.
The denim lovefest continued via tweed and denim mini coats, jackets and stretchy overalls to rock with heels and perhaps a necktie blouse. On the more glam side of the spectrum, a group of ribbed Lurex pieces paid tribute to the sexy Seventies.
