Anyone here a fan?
She is the one who sang (and wrote) the song "Tom's Diner." She also recently came out with a new album "Beauty and Crime" (I haven't heard that one yet)
I love her lyrics and the mood/contemplative quality of a lot of her songs.. I find them especially good to listen to when I'm on the train or outside in the city just observing things.
Some of my favorite songs are Rosemary, the Queen and the Soldier, Blood Makes Noise, and Solitude Standing...

Theres a jazz song that was on the same album as Toms Diner i forget the name tho...loved it

I've come across her music before but didn really noticed until now, she's lovely, thanks for sharing
 
"Marlene On The Wall" and "Luka" are my favorites.
 
Oh I haven't thought of her for ages ... I loved her early stuff ... I'll go and dig out the CD... thanks!
