More importantly... who're you most excited to seeing walk the champagne-coloured carpet?

I'm excited to see Nicole & Cate on the red carpet, as usual. Maybe Cate will rewear gowns from yesteryear, and I'm okay with that. I'm also excited to see Michelle Yeoh as well. This has been a big year for her (finally), so I'm hoping we'll see her in something w/ that Wow-factor that we'd normally associate with the Oscars.

As for the men, um...I don't know. Maybe Austin Butler, maybe (??)

My predictions who who I think will win - not necessarily who I think deserves to win (tossed in a few upsets, to not be boring)

Tar should be nominated in costume design. Or maybe it's just too high a vibrational frequency for the Oscars anyways.
What do they know about Margaret Howell! the fact that Babylon is nominated  .. everything looks ill-fitted and Forever 21/Nasty Gal-level of 2010s trashiness, nothing old Hollywood about it but, if packaged bombastically: you've got your Oscar nomination.

Giving the Oscar to Andrea Riseborough would be crazy after the scandal, I think? they kept her nomination just to not fracture the 'integrity' of the committee any further.

I hope Cate wins. And frankly, I hope Austin wins too, I find him annoying and ungrateful lol, but both did an amazing job.

Also crossing fingers for Navalny & Argentina, 1985.

I predicted Andrea more just because I can’t help but hope for the mini scandal if it happens. I know Michelle and Cate have split the precursor wins pretty evenly. If it was indeed a committee deciding the winner, I agree she’d have zero chance. But since it’s anonymous voting, I think she has a shot. The kind of person rooting against her would likely be voting for Michelle Yeoh anyway. I could see Michelle and Cate splitting votes and Andrea sneaking in with what seems a large amount of loyal supporters that earned her a nomination, along with a few new converts doing it just to spite. There’s always a couple of upsets every year. I haven’t even seen most of the nominations, this year. Used to watch as many as possible just to have an informed decision. At this point I literally cannot bring myself to sit and watch something I’m not drawn to organically.

For the acting categories I'm predicting Austin Butler, Cate Blanchett, Ke Huy Quan and Angela Bassett (or Kerry? idk, tight race!)
I would love to see Todd Field win for screenplay or directing!

i watched EEAAO and i don't get the hype. great acting, sure, but there is no story. the film is like hyperactive memes. lol. it's super creative, though, so props for that.

on another note, i so much agree with Sofia Coppola's IG post about older Oscar red carpets being more interesting

Ashley Graham:

Jamie Lee Curtis:

Vanessa Hudgens:

Malala Yousafzai:

Elizabeth Olsen:

I remember all the years when I tried to stay up as late as possible, but usually faded before the important awards got handed out... Cara looked great in red, and Angela Bassett's dress has a touch of Elizabeth Taylor about it... something about Fan Bingbing's look reminds me of the old Revlon Fire and Ice advert.

Did anyone see Ashley trying to interview Hugh Grant? I felt so badly for her. I like him and find him really charming on film, but God he was kind of c*nty. And not in a good way lol.

You'll not find that happening with the Irish.

So much white on the "champagne carpet".

Last minute, less risky prediction ballot lol and the one I submitted officially in a pool I entered
