If you had to create a playlist for a fashion show, what would be on it?
I'm not sure if this was done before...
Well, most of these should be like, either sped up or slowed down a bit, or remixed, or bassed up, or something:

1. Air - Surfing On A Rocket
2. Radiohead - Idiotque
3. Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong
4. Q and Not U - Book of Flags
5. Clipse f/ Faith Evans - Ma, I Don't Love Her
6. Goldfrapp - Utopia (Sunroom Mix)
7. The Walkmen - Little House Of Savages
8. Elliott Smith - Coast to Coast
9. Bob Marley & Funkstar DeLuxe - The Sun Is Shining
10. Jay-Z f/ DMX - Money, Cash, Hoes

What would be your list?

dancing in the street

1) ciccone youth - 2 cool rock chicks listening to nue
2) LL cool j - goin' back to cali
3) marianne faithfull-sex with strangers
4) ciccone youth- addicted to love
5) phoenix- heatwave
6) Darlin' - Darlin' 2
7) yoko ono - walking on thin ice
8) archigram- in flight ( raw club remix )
9) niravana - heartbreaker ( live show '87 led zeppelin cover )
10) thomas bangalter - club soda

beth orton- stolen car
clann zu- ri ra
interpol- hands away
radiohead- climbing up the walls
erlend Øye- so weit wie noch nie
electrelane- gone under sea
xiu xiu- crank heart (remix)
hooverphonic- Autoharp
esthero- heaven sent
massive attack- teardrop

you know, the models are supposed to fall asleep during the show:P

I also would like to add:
Björk - Triumph Of The Heart
Goldfrapp - Let's get physical (Olivia Newton John cover)
Juvenile - Follow Me Now
Eric Prydz - Call On Me

How long is the music supposed to be, circa 20 minutes? In that case I say Ravel's Bolero, ends the show in a big bang!

If you were a designer...

If you were a designer...

what music would you use for your show and why?

Thx :flower:

well, i am all about energy so it would have to be drum n bass all the way. adam f would be in the driving seat. this is kind of a lazy reply, if something inspired creeps over me I will make sure to check back in

I think that Red Hot Chilli Peppers is full of energy, so I would use that music...

Also I think that it would depend on the collection, if it is like wild, I would use loud loud music with alot of electric guitar, if it is more like Louis Vuitton (or conservative), I would use something softer...
that is a good question.

depends on what the style of the show is but comfortable numb is a very runway track by the scissor sisters

the 2046 soundtrack could be great if it were edited well^_^

I'd definitely put CANDI STATON - YOU GOT THE LOVE on repeat.. I just love that song.. it'll do great on catwalks! it's a bit different than the usual electro shizzle.. i like it!
So if you'll be hearing it later.. you'll know I'm the designer!

Can's Aumgn intermixed with Nick Cave's From Her to Eternity... wow.

I'd play The Knife. Songs like Got 2 Let U, Heartbeats, You Take My Breath Away, Listen Now, Pass This On... und so weiter. It would be just perfect.

depending on the theme of the show... but im the kind of person who would of picked remixes from songs or the exact same songs Versace does.

Ciara-Goodies
Petey Pablo- Freek a Leek
Ashanti- Only You
Joe Budden-Pump it up
poison...i forget who sing it though
it makes me ooh, la la la...that song too

My Spring collection has a 50's flair but with a touch of Spanish/Spain influences...

50's Glam Girl
Hollywood (Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duck Mix) - Madonna. This song is so long it should cover this part. This is the super glam, ready for the red carpet wear.

50's Teen Girl (Sandy in Grease)
Jailhouse Rock - Elvis (dropped waist A-line jumpsuits, car mechanicwear but sexed up)
Ride Wit Me - Nelly (cigarette jeans with strapless camisole tops, big belts, sexy short dresses and tulip skirts)
Pieces of Me - Rare Essence (that whole Varsity/Cheeleader look complete with varsity cardigans and varsity poodle skirts)

50's Vixen
(Erotica Madonna meets Dita Von Teese meets Marilyn)
Bad Girl - Madonna (sexertary, basically)
Hanky Panky - Madonna (pinups, beaded bermuda shorts and a little mask of lace)
Like A Prayer - Madonna (housewife meets dominatrix, this is the part where I show my twist on the smoking suit)

Spanish girl
La Isla Bonita - Madonna (the super-consumable beachwear, tunics like crazy)
Ojos Asi - Shakira (club clothes, ultra, ultra sexy but still tasteful)
Imagine - John Lennon (the ultra-romantic pieces, womens tuxedo and ball gowns)

The recap at the end will be to Kylie's Cant Get You Out Of My Head, cause you won't be able to.

(I always have a vivid vision when it comes to my clothes and show)

I'd mix:

Donna Summer-Love To Love You Baby
Nirvana-Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Foo Fighters-Darling Nikki
and Oasis-Champagne Supernova

blend those all together, remix them a bit and slice bits and pieces...eh, it works in my head anyway.

The overall feel of the collection would be very cool, a little bit hard, sexy and glamourous in an understated way.
