i love julie london's sultry voice and her songs are so fun
if anyone know any good new or old singers that sounds like her..please do recommand

if anyone know any good blues-rock musicians...please recommand as well
i really like green onions by booker T and the MGs^_^

Booker T. and the MGs recorded Green Onions in 1962. :flower:

For the 40's and 50's, give me jazz by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and Stan Getz, and the vocal stylings of Sarah Vaughan.

For 40's and 50's blues, Muddy Waters and Elmore James, and for that good ol' rock and roll, Chuck Berry.

Of course, there are many more, these are just some of the better known and more influential ones. :)

nice
it doesnt exactly have to be the 40s and 50s...even modern musicians that have that kind of sound is fine
thank you for the recommandations
are the blues artists there booker T. sounding? XD

No, Muddy Waters and Elmore James have a much sparser sound and are more of a guitar and vocal interplay.

If you like Booker T, I suggest you check out Wilson Pickett, The Meters, and The Spencer Davis Group.

You're welcome! :flower:

Booker T and the MGs were the Stax/Volt house band and also worked with Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd and Sam and Dave. More info on them here.

Try James Hunter... he is a modern musician who sounds like the past to me...
I don't know if it's exactly 40's, 50's... but you may like it.

nice..thanks guys :)
