A.P.C. Fall 2008 Lookbook

okay, so I am super bad at this-- a.p.c. has released their fall collection and my screenshots are wonky! There are a few great pieces and some lackluster ones. The prices have also gone up significantly, grr. I kind of like the librarian/schoolgirl aethetic, althought 400 dollars for a messenger bag from a.p.c. is lame-o.

I love the coats, the tartan and those cozy looking scarves and tights but it really is very expensive. I'll be looking for cheaper alternatives or waiting for the sale.

I received the lookbook in the post the other day...I literally flicked through it in 2 seconds flat. Apart from a cute sailor coat and a fabulous tartan cape everything is DULL.

this is much better then last season - some cute classic nicely cut pieces that are a breath of fresh air from the last couple seasons which i would happily buy. i wish he put in some of the light green color in the men's collection into the women's. i don't understand the prices for the shoes and the bags either.

i think that boy is absolutely delicious...
such a cute young thing...
great casting...
he's got the perfect quirkiness to set off the basic style of the garments...

i guess that is who APC is good for...

I adore quite a few of the new pieces, in particular the tartan cape and the flannel shirt. Cute! But I noticed most of the pieces from the Nylon preview aren't included on the APC website. Anyone know why?

The yellow coat in the first shot is the best by far, i would put it in a look for a shoot no doubt, it funky and will be fashionable again quite soon. The let down for the rest of the looks is the workmanship and the fitting, the clothes seem to just hang off the models body instead of fitting and showing some type of tailoring to the potential buyer. Non the less there seems to be some potential here, hopefully in a couple of years they will produce something that will blow us all away.
