I don't think this has been mentioned but I was watching a French show hosted by Medemoiselle Agnes called "Dressed Up For..." and it focused on the S/S 2011 shows. There was a segment on Lanvin and Abbey was told by Alber he was going to cancel her because she couldn't walk in the shoes correctly. She said she felt fine and then he made her walk in flats and decided not to cancel her. She then started crying and the dressers (and later Freja) were seen trying to console her. Later on it states that she got one look instead of the planned two.

It was so strange to see her so vulnerable since she seems the complete opposite based on her attitude and appearance. I just thought it was interesting and quite sad to see her like that. I'd be crying too if I got cast in a show and did hours of fittings just to be canceled minutes before the show started!
 
I remember reading that story in the Model Behavior thread. Poor Abbey!!

Only four of the girls could walk in the shoes for that show if I remember correctly.
 
I do remember that!!! someone already posted (long time ago) but not so detailed. and it makes sense because she never walked again for Lanvin after S/S 2011...shame on you Alber!
 
^ Seriously, I also remember reading that only a handful of girls could actually walk in those heels. Which really indicates that its the HEELS not the MODELS fault if she and 80% of her peers can't even walk in them...

There was a discussion about this here actually, but we've never had any videos. I wouldn't be able to watch. :(

Love my Abbey<3 I really thought that Alber was a nice little man. Obviously he's not so nice if he was blaming the poor models for not being able to walk in crazy shoes.

Well she really can't do anything else because she can't leave Africa. Portmans flew to Cape Town because they have a contract with her and now they're in Swakopmund where Mad Max is filming for another shoot I guess.
