Acne Studios F/W 2025.26 Paris

I enjoyed this one a lot.
The distorted Björk music!
There was only one detail I didn't get: the weird coffee stains in the pubic area of the sheer dress.
Everything else, very cool (even the moon boots!), and well accessoirized. Loved the earrings and the hair.

Funnily enough, the models were walking amongst meteorites and ice sculptures, like at Dior.
The main difference: this was not a pompous funeral.

It’s a bit of a return to form for Acne, but they still seem a little lost. I think the closure of Y Project will give them a second wind though as they can cater to the crowd that will be looking for those kind of clothes that aren’t Diesel.

I've never understood the connection between the shows of awkward Instagrammy looks and the easy commercial clothes in the stores. What's the point ? The clothes are always great in the shops, why the need to present this parade of random stuff?

I had to look extra hard to find a polar bear in the stains hahah! But it’s such a cool collection, I was actually surprised by how much I liked the show. The oversized teddy bear coats were particularly strong and fun, as was the knitwear. I really hope they keep this vibe going because it feels like the good Acne Studios might be making a comeback, but you never know. Their menswear has been disastrous for quite some time, and the S/S 2025 collection was absolutely shameless with all the Loewe references.

The clown shows make me want to throw my phone, but for the most part the clothes are good.

It's very forgettable. There is no clear message. A parade of clothes that are weird for the sake of it.
I never got the appeal of acne studios so maybe there is something behind all of this that I don't see or understand.
