Alexandra Shulman Criticizes Helena Christensen for Wearing Certain Clothes at 50 in Daily Mail

It’s all over the news here too. Yesterday it was the Evening Standard’s front page feature, today Sun featured it on their front page too. It was also discussed in Good Morning Britain apparently and even the vilest of them all Piers Morgan had nothing bad to say about Helena.

I almost feel sad for Shulman. I think she picked Helena because she thought going after her wouldn’t cause that much stir because she knew Christensen would be reserved and classy about it just like she was or maybe she picked her for the exact reason claimed in the WWDs article. It’s hard to understand because Helena actually looks beautiful on these photos and I don’t know what possessed her unless she really thought the ridiculousness of it would put her back in the limelight.

I personally can’t get over the language and references she used in her article. It was truly shocking. Now saying that she thinks Helena is wonderful and one of the best does very little. Neither an apology and flowers will fix that (apparently, she sent a note with an apology and flowers to Helena). As few of you know I am a fan of Helena’s and I am not so much offended as a fan because the claims were rude but simultaneously ridiculous. What offends me is what she said about women and how she gave a wild card to men, how she caved in to patriarchal thinking and shamelessly promoted it. I am a men, I consider myself to be a women’s supporter, not sure if I am a good enough to call myself a feminist but the sense of injustice that I felt after reading this article will forever mark Shulman for me as a dishonest person who is on the wrong side and who can be brought / paid off.

Shulman is so embarrasing, writing for the Daily Mail alone is already sad and then especially seeing the things she is writing. I have to admit I did not read the article itself, because there is no way I am clicking on a Daily Mail link and 'support' their trash but just the thought of her saying someone is 'too old to wear something' is beyond stupid and misogynistic.

Damn, this went mainstream

It ended up on the henhouse? Lol. Alexandra Shulman is getting Norma Desmond level of infamy. I'm sure Breitbart is calling her nonstop now.
