She reminds me of Jackie O in some of these pictures (though I never noticed it on film) sort of funny since Love Story was modeled after Al & Tipper Gore's relationship. Maybe it's just Jackie & Ali's coloring - Ali has a much prettier face in my opinion.

She kinda reminds me of Princess Caroline of Monaco

I read that once (that was in the late sixties or early seventies), Caroline of Monaco was told by some stranger that she looked like Caroline of Monaco (duhh...), and she replied :"No, I look like Ali Mac Graw"...

Ali Mac Graw's autobiography is absolutely fascinating. She recounts her early days in New York, working for Diana Vreeland, going all over New York looking for props to use in photo shoots, and later, her marriage to Steve Mac Queen. Very moving. She is also featured in one of Joan Collins's books ("My Friends's Secrets", I think), and she seems to be a very interesting person, someone one would like to know. Apparently, she is into interior decorating these days, with her own unique style, somewhat western, somewhat Native American, somewhat hippie.

I saw her recently in "The Getaway". She is very elegant, in the old style, like a brunette Candice Bergen in "Carnal Knowledge" or a brunette Faye Dunaway in "Bonnie and Clyde".

I just saw Love Story and Ali was excellent in it. Not to mention her outfits are very inspiring, perfect for Fall.

I just watched Love Story for the for the first time in what seems like ages. Never before have I noticed the Fashions from it. Ali (and Ryan at that) are always dressed so well.

I have spent hours attempting to find somewhere that the movie has been screen-capped, but I haven't any luck. I know there were some a few pages back.

But does anyone know of a place were I could find more? I would be forever grateful.

Ali was and is always very fashionable. She was a stylist before she became a movie star.
I love her ensembles from the 60s and 70s - she was always way ahead of the trends.

I remember reading somewhere that Ali suffered from bad acne and had to wear really heavy makeup because of it. I think I may have noticed that in a couple of photos, though it's really surprising because she had such a natural look. She was beautiful nevertheless. Does anyone know if she was naturally tan though?

I think she was naturally pale.I mean she grew up on the East Coast where the sun don't shine for at least 5 months! I wish I could read that VOGUE she's in!!!

I was thinking more because of her heritage; she has a somewhat exotic look so her natural colouring may be darker. Does anyone know what her origin is? I'm thinking native American...
