Ali Turner

I'm loving her cover story for tFS.. she's beautiful and sounds so smart.. thanks for sharing such a great story and a bunch of unseen pictures!..

Ali is amazing - to think that these are the diaries of a 15-year-old girl! So intelligent. Her mother Patty is also wonderful, and tFS is so glad to be running this series!

21 I'm guessing?, they said she was 15 in 2002. I might've got it all wrong though.

Thank you. Ali is incredibly beautiful, specially in all the pictures that where posted on TFS cover story. I wish we could see more of her. Congratulations model_mom for such a pretty girl  and thank you guys for all the cute pictures. With what agency is she?

Ali started her diary for a school project when she was at the starting point of her modeling career. In 2002 she was just 15... so she is around 21 now. Happily, she achieved many of her goals according to her lovely mother. This will be a series that runs in a few parts... I think everyone is impressed by the honest articulation of her emotions and the description of the process of becoming.

Ali's with Centro models in St. Louis, MO. It's a small agency but she's booked quite a few jobs and it's been a good fit for her lifestyle. She works during the week and is free to work with her horses on the weekend and still have time for her friends.

Heartland top model decides to stay close to home and family
By: Wes Wallace

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - She's hit the runways all over the world, and graced the pages of top magazines and catalogues you might have right on your living room coffee table.
"I've been to Paris, London, Milan, even Australia," says Ali Turner, "Those places are great to visit for awhile, but I like being home too."
Turner says that's the biggest drawback about her modeling career. The best part? "The money," Turner admits with a laugh," It allows me to take care of my horses. I love them more than anything."
At 15, Turner signed on with the Ford Modeling Agency in Chicago. She then flew off to Europe and did a shoot for Italian Elle magazine. Four years later, she decided not to re-sign with Ford, opting for a smaller agency in St. Louis.
"That way I won't have to be away from home as much," explains Turner.
For the future, Turner wants to become a professional horse barrel racer, but in the meantime she's content modeling.

Thanks for posting sweet_rus!

I love those Kenneth Cole pictures -- she looks good with her hair slicked back on the runway, it really brings out her features.

I grew up horseback riding and I LOVE that she remains so passionate about her sport. She seems so down-to-earth, not surprising with a mom and sister who both seem the same way. Truly beautiful inside and out.

She was covered in baby oil head to toe...it took us hours to get it out.

Here is a very recent, within the last month, pic of Ali..

i have been reading with much enjoyment her journal on TFS the past few weeks and only realised last night that i met her a number of times when she was here in australia. she was one of the most down to earth models i have met and wow what a body! one of my friends worked with her a number of times and thought she was really lovely as well.

glad to see she's done so well for a while now... she did quite well here i remember.

cant wait for the next part of her journal.

cant believe it took me so long to realise it was the same girl!

I saw where Vogue. com has decided that a model's life is exciting enough to start publishing about what it's like to go on castings and work as a model. I hope they tell the real story and try not to gloss over everything. Some days you are on top of the world and that needs to be told too, but the majority of your days are either spent running around endlessly from casting to casting or spent waiting for your agent to contact you to let you know you're working.

I'll let Ali know you ask about her...

She's working in St. Louis all week on a job for the St. Louis Post dispatch. She is really excited about it and calls me everyday about the places she's been and what she had on for the shoot. I will try to get some scans when it comes out.
