Ali is not willing to move to NY or pusue modeling full time. She loves the life in the country. She was headed for Paris two weeks ago and Ford called two days before she was to leave to say that Ford Paris had decided against funding her flight and rent up front. This usually means that they think she doesn't have the potential to pay the money back or that she's too old at 19 to waste the money on re-starting her career. You get one chance with them and when Ali decided to book out and go back to school so she could graduate we knew the chances of her modeling in NY again were not good. That a chance she decided to take.... and we're both glad she did. Sometimes things work out the way they are suppose to.

I guess that I should've announced it...maybe in big bold letters? I never said that I didn't know her, but also didn't say "Hey, look at me.....I am the sister" either - I didn't think that I had too . That was before I started making TFS friends and I just wanted to post some pics.

You forgot the part that says how much you love her and are proud of her and believe me she feels the same way about you.

^ thanks! I really don't get jealous of her though because I am sooooo much older than she is, she is more like my kid and is the baby of the family! Do I wish that I would've had the opportunity that she has had back when I was her age? Sure, but I have never been jealous, just proud.

i agree..not necessary..everyone has something to offer in their own way.. regardless if they are a model or not (i mean..obviously!), sloan seems very intelligent and very supportive/happy for her sister.. there's no need to address jealousy

when people ask my sister if she's jealous of me because i model, it drives me up the wall..to think people could even ask that, especially relatives.. because she has never been anything but supportive of me and has never shown a hint of jealousy.. if anything, it's girlfriends that get catty

but let's stay on topic..

Ali reminds me of the American model they mentioned in that recent NY Time article.. i can't remember her name.. she walked for balenciaga and others...well, anyway, they favor! i love all-american beauties! i think if people would give america more of a chance.. they would fine more of those old-fashioned beauties everyone claims to be looking for..
