Really beautiful, her last cover for them was awful - made her look sick.

I don't like Allure's new direction - significant less text/writing, and a lot less focus on new aging products and techniques. It seems less scientific now; Allure used to review products in a skeptical does-this-really-work way, now they're running articles on crystal "healing" and goofs like that

Passable, but it could be better. I know it's a beauty magazine, but maybe this close-up is way too close. Her makeup does look great though.

I like it when a natural shot makes the person seem 'touchable', if you know what I mean, presenting the cover star as a human being.

Kerry Washington is usually retouched to the maximum on covers and therefore looks terrible, so this is a welcome change. Beautiful, natural makeup, her real skin tone. I like it.

The editorial looks stunning! Love the effortless mood, and shot 1 or 2 should've been used for the cover instead. There's a US Vogue quality to it, which made me wonder whether Kerry will ever get US Vogue.
It's also a nice surprise to see Tasha and Missy still doing the type of edits they did years ago! They only got better at it.

Hahaha, I'm always terrified when magazines are this good. Self was on a roll and next thing you know, they went bust.

Let's hope they're doing good on the newsstand as well.
