WOW! When was the last time we saw a working model on the cover of Allure? The late 90s/early 00s?

LONDON — Condé Nast International has unveiled its debut edition of Allure Russia, with the title’s September issue.

Russian model Natasha Poly, shot by photographer Regan Cameron, appears on the cover. The title has also launched a Web site, at allure.ru, an iPad app and a mobile app, called Allure Beauty Product Finder.

The title’s editor-in-chief is Ksenia Vagner, who was previously beauty director of Russian Tatler.

The beauty-focused Allure is the ninth title to be published by Condé Nast Russia, following the launch of Russian titles including Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller and Brides.

“Russian women have a special relationship with all things beauty-related," commented Karina Dobrotvorskaya, president of Condé Nast Russia.

The publishing firm noted that beauty makes up 40 percent of print advertising in Russia.

“Advertising budgets for beauty remain higher than any other advertising category,” said Victoria Boukharkina, publisher of Allure Russia and Glamour Russia. “It’s hard to imagine a better time to launch a magazine devoted entirely to beauty with a potential audience of 2.5 million Russian women who are interested and willing to invest money in it."

Thanks for the scans Stereo_Flo. I admire the clear direction of the shoot. Natasha's such a beauty and I cannot think of someone more suited to cover Russian Allure's first issue. But I'm afraid this magazine will be a one-hit wonder, I wish them well, however.
