When do yhey usually hold their storewide sales events?

or any other comments on the shop are welcome...

i have ordered twice from this store. they only ship to billing addresses FYI which can be a pain.
their customer service isnt the greatest.
their sales are usually several times a year but off and on.

I've ordered from them several times over the past few years and have been incredibly happy. I've had a different experience than lucy92, in that I've found their customer service to be excellent and far better than most other online retailers. I've never had to return anything though.

I do like that they're one of the few high-end online stores offering a selection of men's goods that's based in North America, but I do wish they'd offer more on their website.

They do sales twice a year at the end of the season, but they have a permanent sale section on the site. I think last year they did a mid-season sale on selected items for a week or two.

Thank you lucy92 & bart! Yes, I'm overanxious for their sales. Not to mention new additions to their permanent sale pages...

Their men's selection is outstanding; I was going to throw Browns and No-One into the mix, except I had to remind myself I was agreeing with the comment that Aloha Rag is one of very few North American online retailers offering a good selection... I'm almost tempted to buy some Henrik Vibskov men's, since I never see his womenswear anyway.

i've only shopped at their online store, the emails are answered quickly in one business day. I'm quite satisfied with aloharag.

Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii, and Hawaii is the 50th state of the USA. However, Hawaii is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, 2500 miles away from California; therefore, it is not considered part of the continent of North America.

Anyway, the owner of Aloha Rag is from Japan, and the majority of their clientele actually consists of Japanese tourists visiting Honolulu! When the store first opened, nearly all of their business came from Japanese tourists (by word of mouth), but now it's starting to balance out with more locals (i.e., residents of Hawaii) frequenting the place.

I've only shopped in the store. Well, in a way you could say I shopped in the store AND online. While browsing the online sale, I found a Martin Margiela skirt and a Mange Tout tanktop. I figured I'd save myself the cost of shipping, as well as try on the clothes first, so I went down to the store the next day. However, the sale stuff was not out on the shop floor. (Perhaps most small boutiques w/ online stores are like this?) Turned out they keep the sale stuff packed up at the warehouse, ready to ship out for online orders. I had to come back the next day to try the stuff on. The staff was polite and kind, in a sort of shy and friendly way; Japanese seemed to be their first language and English their second. Good experience overall.

So when is their sale for s/s staring? Is it any time soon? I need to plan. :)

Thanks in advance!

Is there anybody from Europe who has any experiences ordering from Aloha Rag online? All the expected custom duty hassle and the fact that the pricing is in some cases, atleast on Ann Demeulemeester items, more than Europe pricing(i.e British pricing) is putting me off! :ninja: ...

one of the times i ordered from aloharag the package came from japan and not Hawaii...you might want to consider that when you are ordering...as you may be more likely to get slapped with a duty.
