Anybody know if these ingredients will control acne and if I can find any products containing alpha and beta hydroxy acids at the drugstore or anywhere thats not outrageously price?

AHA is somewhat an exfoliant. it evens out the skin texture but it doesn't necessarily control zits. dermatologists usually recommend AHA, so maybe they have stocks where you can buy. and it's not that expensive..

Alpha Hydrox? Has anyone tried it?

Hey Guys,
Has anyone tried Alpha Hydrox? AHA Souffle? Any comments?
Thanks!

I'm currently using a Alpha Beta Hydroxy line by Beyond Belief. You can get it at Sally's. I really think it's wonderful, and it's pretty cheap too. It has done so much for my acne and skin's general texture without being harsh at all.

I can safely say I've had horrible acne for over a decade, and nothing ever worked. It seemed every treatment and moisturizer made it worse. I'm really glad I've started using Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids. I haven't really broken out since. Although for many people there is a purging period where they break out really bad in the begining. I didn't have much of this myself.

My two favorite things from Beyond Belief are the moisturizer and scrub. I'm super glad about the moisturizer because it has the ABH treatment within it, and it doesn't break me out. I would like to try the serum too, maybe it is lighter for hot days. The scrub is great too and it is very gentle. Though occassionally I still use an Aspirin scrub as a boost.

I don't work for them, they're just really rad. My skin has never been so nice. Aside from having acne I always felt like I had old crappy skin. Now I look even younger. I tried other exfoliants, but I still broke out and my skin was always dry. I also tried an AHA treatment from Walgreens, but that felt icky and stung like a b*tch. Plus it was seperate from a moisturizer. I'm much happier now.

The AHA in the Alpha Hydrox line (Souffle) has is capable of great things, I've heard many people who have had great success with the line. It comes in red packaging and is available in places like Kmart, Walgreens and Harmons.

Walgreens also does a knockoff of the Alpha Hydrox, which is also supposed to be very good.

They are under $12

My skin cannot handle AHAs - Glycolics make my skin break out like crazy (and it's not just purging).
