very nice and desirable especially the jackets (look 10 and 11) and THAT shearling coat (look 27), you can easily dress up or down almost every piece from this collection. in a city where most designers show raggedy scraps of fabric this is a pleasant surprise

The clothes do not tell me anything at all. But those flat shoes, the same kind 80s models wore in almost EVERY show back then, are beyond horrible!

When I see those shoes, for some reasons I think about Romeo Gigli lol.
But it’s true that they were everywhere in those late 80’s show.
But I think it’s weirdly exciting for everybody who didn’t experienced those times. I’m guilty of liking them lol

I also see Romeo gigli. But also serge lutens. It’s strong for nyfw. It’s kind of layered and has some kind of soul and direction.

I do think that Altuzarra is referencing Romeo Gigli in this collection. That bag in look 7 with the gathered top was probably inspired by the one that Gigli did for Vuitton back in the early 90s.
