Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood S/S 2025 Paris

I came here to express the same things as @bennyboy after watching the show.
It was cleaner, more commercial. It lacked that defiant punk energy that Vivienne did so well.
Even the runway soundtrack was odd, it wasn't Vivienne Westwood at all.

Maybe it's a new era, but it's too far a departure for me. Rest well, Vivienne.

It's much better than anything they have created together in the past few years. Finally no stupid gimmicks, it was simple and desirable.

Paris has lost the prestige considering how many collections like these that we saw. When you look carefully you see some decent pieces but they are buried in a messy collection.

Every f.... clothing piece I've seen from this fashion month looks totally the same. I mean why do brands have names and legacies again? There isn't even a single ounce of Vivienne in here, no punk, not edgy enough, just some pieces of clothing put together in hopes that it might resemble Vivienne. I don't understand...is their goal to appeal to influencers?

Where's the "punk"? How can you be anti-mainstream, when you create something so easily digestible? With a brand like VW I don't even care if it's try-hard or edgy or obnoxious, because that's the entire point!

I despise how many looks have drawstring, too synonymous with basketball shorts and sweatpants

It's fine. Repetitive but fine. Andreas' scope for the brand is so incredibly limited though. I feel like we've been seeing this output at Westwood for god... 10+ years? Maybe even more???

This could have been a lookbook for NYFW or LFW and we could have called it a day.

The only talent I find he ever had was the ability to trick Vivienne into believing he was straight. Because without her, he would be nothing at all.

But Vivienne Westwood wasn’t just punk: She could cut and drape a gown that would make Madeleine Vionnet sigh. Where’s that glamour and romance that was the flip-side to the punk?
