Andreja Pejić

Here's the article :flower:

MARC’S NEW MAN: Since the fashion industry first began asking “Who’s the blonde girl?” at the Paris men’s shows in June, 19-year-old Serbian Australian model Andrej Pejic has emerged as a poster boy for fashion androgyny. His long, platinum blonde hair and feminine features caught the attention of, among others, Steven Meisel and Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who cast him in spreads for French and Italian Vogue, teaming him up with Daphne Groeneveld, Freja Beha Erichsen, Iselin Steiro, Iris Strubegger and Givenchy’s transgender muse Lea T. Jean Paul Gaultier not only booked Pejic for his spring 2011 men’s show, he also cast him in his spring ad campaign alongside Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova — who posted a photo of herself and Pejic from the shoot last week on Facebook, both sporting matching women’s trenchcoats. Now it looks like Marc Jacobs may also be going the guess-the-gender route for his Marc by Marc Jacobs spring campaign. Pejic recently returned from shooting the ads in Marrakech with Juergen Teller alongside look-alike Latvian (female) model Ginta Lapina. Born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pejic and his family fled the war-torn region in the Nineties before settling as refugees in Melbourne, Australia.

Andrej is pronunced like un (as in uncle) -dray.

strong showcard! thanks for posting it heelscatchfire :flower:, I would LOVE to see andrej walk for Givenchy and Balenciaga in the up and coming womenswear season!

glad Andrey is confirmed with the Campaign for Marc by Marc with Ginta

Does anyone else think that he has better images that could have been used on his show card besides me??

And i hope he gets to walk Couture but I think I may be pushing it :/

I do love the left one, that's super sexy.
but yes, male model's show cards always don't show the best of their work, that's the thing I just can't understand.

And i hope he gets to walk Couture but I think I may be pushing it :/

wow! I would love to see that! but to be honest, I don't see that happening!
lets keep our fingers crossed to see him at the womenswear shows! :D and then we'll see if he gets some couture shows... ;)

left image of course is a love. I mean Vogue Paris... of course I love but my soul doesn't sit right with the right side... the runway shot and overall layout... it looks like.. well Im not going to say that because it would be mean but I just don't like it.

I really hope for couture too, and if he doesn't do it the reason must be his body type. Even if he looks very androgynous, he has a flat breast but probably bigger measurements than a girl. To show a dress for 20.000€ that can't be used again doesn't sound very possible, unfortunately.

i don't see that's big problem since Martin Cohn closed Elise Overland show.
but of course not for Dior, even female model looks like they gonna explode having a tiny cake.

^I know! but Elise Overland wasn't couture, It was a ready to wear collection,
I agree with OlleEdvard, you need a certain type of body to do couture, and I don't think andrej has it, considering that he is a man! :ermm: lol!
But everything is possible, and I would be incredibly happy to see him doing couture! ^_^

I remember once Yuri wearing Chanel spring 2008 couture bridal dress for an edi, he looks quite fit in that. but you are right, if I'm going to do a garment over 20 grands, I don't want the final work looking ridiculous. wait, Karl I'm not talking about your Suvi bridal dress LOL

I'm eager to see Marc Jacobs campaign, I like Ginta also, and I don't want to see him in couture, that's for girls
